Android Q May Bring Native Dark Mode, Screen recording, Desktop Mode and More

A report from last week claimed that Android Q will finally offer a native system-wide dark mode, but apparently, that's not the only new feature expected from the next major version of Android.

According to XDA Developers, which claims to have access to an early build of Android Q, another major change in the software will be about how apps can use the permissions granted to them by the users. Apparently, apps with location permission will henceforth only be able to access location data when in use.

The next version of Android may also bring native screen-recording, which means users will no longer need to download third-party apps to make use of the feature. There's also mention of a so-called 'Desktop Mode', but it isn't immediately clear as to whether it will be similar to Samsung's 'DeX' functionality.
